The Buccaneers have continued to fly under the radar and sign FA’s that we think will fill depth and special teams spots. The Bucs have signed former 2nd round picks
Matt McCoy, formely of the Saints and
Eagles, and LB
Teddy Lehman, formerly of the
Lions.

Matt McCoy – 30 games, 81 tackles, 3 FF, 2 sacks
Teddy Lehman - 41 games, 148 tackles, 2 FF, 2 INT, 1 sack
First Trotter, and now McCoy? I know a lot of people bash players after they leave their team, but Matt McCoy really was terrible here.He is tiny first off, which is not always a knock against a football player, but for him it is. He can not shed blocks, he does not blitz well, he is a poor tackler, he is bad on special teams, and despite being fast he is lousy in pass coverage. The only thing he seems to do very well, is sniff out screens. He has a great ability to know when a screen is being run, and blows them up. he also did force a few fumbles, but I think the large amount of negative plays he makes out weighs that.
He’s gonna have a hard time making the team regardless. June, Ruud, Black, Brooks are locks, and it would be tough to cut Nece. We have about 4 lb’s fighting for maybe one spot.
