Graham Wants To Be A Buc

At yesterdays FanFest at Raymond James Stadium, Ernest Graham made a surprise appearance and answered questions from reporters.

“I won’t say anything as far as contract but I love this organization,” said Graham. “I’ve been a part of it for five years. There is mutual respect on both sides. I feel good about them, and they feel the same about me. I think those two things will lead to [a new contract] getting done.”

daylife.comGraham also told the Pewter Report that he will be at all mandatory mini camps and training camp as well.  A lot of people forget, because they didn’t give two shits about Ernest Graham at the time, that Graham missed most of last seasons’ OTA’s as well.

Is it time that the NFL gets rid of the OTA bullshit?  I understand the NFL is a serious grind, but we are talking about multi million dollar athletes.  The voluntary camps create an issue with so many guys in the league each year who are angling for new deals.  Just might be time to progress a little bit and make team training activities (being as though these players jobs are solely comprised of being members of an NFL team) mandatory.

Changing the OTAs to mandatory would require union approval I think. It would have to be negotiated for & included in a new CBA.These things are mostly for a look-see at rookies & new players anyhow.
