The Disaster Continues
There has been plenty of talk about the fact that Raheem Morris may have lost his locker room weeks ago, but some recent comments and reports out of Buccaneers camp are truly alarming. It is being reported that in London, Aqib Talib missed curfew, and then when confronted by Raheem Morris, he cursed Morris out.
The rumors about confrontations, they are what they are,” Morris said, per PewterReport.com. “You let them go out there, you let them hang. Myself and Talib we have a great relationship, I don’t think we’ve ever had an argument. Now I’ve yelled at him before, but we actually have never had an argument before. . . . I’ve never ever once been disrespected by Aqib Talib in my life. Never…We swear to each other every day…I wouldn’t call it a disrespect. The swear words that’s talk on the football field. We do that all the time. We swear to them on the field talking about a play, and how we can do it better. It is just a form of communication of some sort. He has never ever disrespected me. He has always been as respectful as you can be to a coach, and to a brother-figure, or a father figure, or however he looks at me, and he has been like that to me. I’ve never had a problem with Talib.”
I call bullshit. It’s hard disseminating bullshit from the truth in these kind of instances, but Raheem’s answer to me sounded like an optionless one. Do you come out and say publicly, ya he cursed me out? I don’t think he can do that, so the only way to save face, is to spit out that crap that you just read.
This whole thing has been spiraling downward for months, but you might see some real interesting quotes, some much worse then this, during the last 8 weeks of the season.
I agree that this smells bad Dustin. Scott Reynolds from Pewter Report will be on tonight and I hope to get some very frank answers to some of the rumors coming out of camp. I know the “real media” types have to be careful, but there is a LOT of smoke out here. Seems like there must be some fire.
