I feel the Bucs did very well drafting the personnel they did. After finishing dead last in rushing "D" last year I wanted them to draft a run stuffer and they got two. This was a definite need with the rushing attack of Carolina, the passing attack of New Orleans and Atlanta. These two will also put pressure on the opponents QBs and allow our cover 2 to be once again dominate. The two (tall) WRs will give Freeman some tall targets down field. Let's hope they pan out as projected. The drafting of a punter was a necessity and I think the Bucs need a consistant PK, maybe a free-agent?. The CB pick of Lewis was very good and with improvement he'll be quite a tandem with Talib. LB Dekoda Watson of FSU was another good pick as he is quick and sudden. Then S Cody Grimm of Virginia Tech might just be a steal as Tech was one of the better defensive teams in the NCAA. I certainly hope the youth movement is successful and I think they will be more competitive. Maybe 8-8-0 or even 9-7-0 provided they stay healthy and the rookies play like veterans? My draft grade is an A.

I couldnt agree more. This is the happiest ive been after draft weekend in what seems like at least a decade. It doesnt mean that our picks will have any more success but i love the thought process and i think we did a good job of getting value picks that fit needs. Great, great weekend
