Bucs Sign Five, Release Two

Today the Buccaneers announced a handful of moves they executed, including a few players let go:

  • Fullback Rendrick Taylor of Clemson signed his first NFL contract. With B.J. Askew out of Tampa Bay, Taylor has a chance to compete for the Fullback spot this offseason if he can have an impressive camp.
  • Other signings included Wide Receiver Chris Brooks of Nebraska, Guard Lee Grimes of Texas A&M, Defensive End George Johnsonof Rutgers, and Cornerback Darrell Pasco of Georgia Southern.
  • Besides signing a few players, the Bucs also went in the other direction and released a few guys. Tennessee Guard Vladimir Richard received the pink slip, along with Defensive End Matt Featherston of Texas A&M.
