Urrutia arrested; Bucs add DT

Former Louisville receiver and undrafted free agent Mario Urrutia (pictured) was arrested for a driver’s license violation in Florida. He was released early Monday morning after posting a $500 bond. The misdemeanor shouldn’t affect Urrutia in any way, but his chances of making the Bucs’ roster was very slim to begin with before the news of his violation broke.

Now to a more positive story. The Buccaneers have signed defensive tackle Carlton Powell. The terms of his contract were not disclosed, but to accomodate for Powell’s arrival on the 80-man roster, the Bucs have parted ways with rookie cornerback Darrell Pasco. The former Virigina Tech Hokie was a fifth-round draft pick by the Denver Broncos in 2008, and spent his 2009 season on the Broncos’ and Cleveland Browns’ practice squads.
