WR Mike Williams signs four-year deal

The Buccaneers have finally inked one of their draft picks today. Former Syracuse receiver Mike Williams signed a four-year,  (believed to be) $3.15 million deal.

Williams, who left Syracuse halfway through the season last year, is competing for a starting spot this offseason. But he’s not the only rookie receiver who could start for Tampa in 2010. Arrelious Benn has drawn lots of praise early on in the offseason for his excellent set of hands and playmaking ability.

While at Syracuse, Williams enjoyed a great career in his three and half seasons as a member of the Orangemen football program. He finished with 20 touchdown receptions, ranking him second on Syracuse’s all-time list along with Marvin Harrison.
