No deal, Penn refuses to sign tender

"Show me the money!"

The Monday night deadline to sign all tenders came and went without the Bucs starting left tackle, Donald Penn, signing his $3.168-million tender. The Bucs have announced that they plan to exercise their option to reduce Penn’s offer to 110 percent of last year’s base salary, which is around $100,000 less than the original tender.

Penn, one of the team’s better offensive lineman, has started 44  straight games for Tampa. The Bucs really need Penn to get back with the team, and seeing that he hasn’t attended a single practice and that he’s undecided on whether or not to attend the Bucs’ mandatory mini camp, the likelihood of Penn coming back quickly is slim to none.
