Bucs sign punter; part ways with veteran WR

Warning! If you thought the veteran wide receiver who was let go was named Michael Clayton…sorry, your out of luck. I just wanted to clarify that up for all the Clayton haters out there.

Now to the big news of the day – the signing of our new starting punter. Sixth-round selection, Brent Bowden, signed his first NFL contract today, giving the Buccaneers their punter of the future (and now). The Virginia Tech product was the second ranked punter in the 2010 draft class, but will start for the Bucs right away. Hopefully the young kid can handle it (I mean, how hard can it be to kick a ball like 50 yards?).

In the case of the veteran receiver who was cut (no, not Michael Clayton), the Bucs parted ways with Mark Bradley. After playing in 13 games for the Bucs last season, and reaching the endzone twice, Bradley will hit the free agency market  in search of his fourth team ever since being drafted by the Chicago Bears in 2005.
