The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed their second round pick, defensive tackle Brian Price, to a four-year deal. The financial terms of the deal were disclosed. As of the moment, Price is the highest drafted player to sign a deal (hopefully Gerald McCoy will sign in the next week or so).
The 35th overall pick out of UCLA was named to the 2009 All Pac-10 first team, as well as receiving the Pat Tillman award for the nation’s defensive player of the year.
Price will team up with the Bucs’ other rookie defensive tackle, third overall pick Gerald McCoy. The two should give Tampa a force up the middle for years to come.
“I’m glad my agent got the deal done, so now I can concentrate on having a great training camp. I’m looking forward to contributing to the Buccaneers’ dominant defensive tradition.”
