Jacksonville's first round pick, Tyson Alualu, will look to get to Josh Johnson.

Just as I did last week for the Kansas City Chiefs game, I searched the web for a Jacksonville Jaguars blogger to give us a quick insight into Tampa’s opponent in their third preseason game. The Bucs will be without second-year quarterback Josh Freeman, which will give Josh Johnson and Rudy Carpenter a lot of opportunities to impress the coaches. Jacksonville, a Florida rival for Tampa Bay, will look to bring their defensive pressure all night, and give Josh Johnson little to no time to make a play with his arm or legs.

Terry O’Brien of Black and Teal, located on Fansided.com, answered a quick set of questions regarding tonight’s game.

1. When the Jags face off against the Bucs tonight, what will you be looking for when the game gets going, specifically with the Jaguars.

  • Our right tackle Eben Britton. He had a rookie year last year and hasn’t seen the field yet in training camp.
  • Tyson Alualu our DT 1st rounder. Miami dominated him and I thought he looked bad
  • We give up a lot of yards in the air. Our secondary hasn’t looked good.

2. The Bucs have a lot of rookies who will be playing big roles in 2010, such as Gerald McCoy and Mike Williams. How have the Jaguars’ rookies looked so far, and do you expect any rookie to be named a starter?

  • Tyson Alualu is the only healthy starter as a rookie.
  • D’Anthony Smith is lost to the season
  • Larry Hart is a 5th round DE we will be watching but he isn’t starter material.

3. Tampa Bay will be without starting quarterback Josh Freeman tonight, and will hand the reigns over to Josh Johnson, a dual threat quarterback. How do you think Jacksonville will plan to go about containing Johnson, and keeping him in the pocket.

  • We are trying to get to the quarterback on every play. Watch the Jaguar rush, that is what we are focusing on.

4. Though, it is the preseason, give us your guess as to how the game will play out, and what player(s) do you think will come up big tonight?

  • For Jacksonville Watch Jarret Dillard a WR and watch Reggie Nelson Safety. If Reggie doesn’t come up big, he might be gone.
