Talib returns, Lorig released

Aqib Talib has returned to the Bucs active roster and will start on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. Talib rejoins a secondary that is beginning to emerge as one of the better units in the NFC. Ronde Barber is a veteran leader, while Elbert Mack, E.J. Biggers, and rookie Myron Lewis continue to impress and shine. Talib could have a break-out season this year and he continues to progress each season.

The Bucs also cut defensive end Eric Lorig to make room for Talib. Lorig was the Bucs 7th round pick out of Stanford. He had a nice preseason, but probably would not make the starting rotation this year on the defensive line. He might end up signing to the practice squad.

I do hope that they sign Lorig to the Practice Squad. The guy has a lot of untapped talent.
Good to know that Aqib will be back on Sunday. With him back, the secondary will be that much better.

Lorig might be picked up by another team, with all of the injuries going on and I believe the practice squad may be full at the time. Aqib is the best corner we have, combined with Barber, Biggers, Lewis, and Mack, they are a great secondary.
