If you live in the Tampa Bay area and you’re hoping to catch the Bucs game from the comfort of your own home this Sunday, forget it. According to the Buccaneers, the quantity of tickets still remaining for Sunday’s game are such that even with walk-up purchases the Bucs don’t anticipate being able to sell out. So if you were hoping to watch the game on TV, you’re out of luck. Plenty of tickets to actually attend the game are still available though.
Unfortunately, the NFL is pretty serious about bars showing the game too. A couple weeks ago they went after O’Briens in Tampa for showing a pilfered internet feed to their patrons. Unfortunately, it costs 25 dollars just to park at Raymond James, buying tickets and concessions becomes a lot pricier. That’s just too much to afford for a lot of us. Fortunately if you live in the Tampa Bay area and book quickly, the good people at JoeBucsFan have arranged a fan caravan to Lee Roy Selmon’s well out of the black-out radius so you can watch the Bucs on Sunday. It costs a nickel less than parking at Ray-Jay. Give it a look.
Sadly, black-outs will probably be the trend for the rest of the season. According to the Bucs the best bet to sell out the stadium was two weeks ago when Pittsburgh came to town. The Steelers enjoy a national fan-base that also happens to travel well, if the Bucs couldn’t sell out that game it looks like it may be tough to sell out any of the others.
