Mike Williams Showcase on ESPN

Mike Williams will be the subject of an ESPN feature Sunday morning.

Get your suits pressed and primp your dresses, Tampa Bay is going national.

This Sunday on ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown will broadcast a feature on Tampa Bay rookie star wideout Mike Williams. The show itself runs from 11am ET to 1pm ET, and as of this moment it isn’t known when the exact time the bit will air but nevertheless the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are gaining national attention and it’s much deserved. How much this has to do with Williams DUI isn’t really clear, but from the sounds of it, the feature will cover Williams and his relationship with his mother, Mary Rosenthal, and how that relationship shaped him as a player and a person. Here is a preview courtesy of ESPN and Pat Yasinskas, just imagine it in that deep ESPN announcer voice:

Mike Williams: Mama’s Boy
Tampa Bay WR Mike Williams is having a banner rookie campaign – his 6 TD catches is tied for best among all rookie receivers. Williams credits a measure of his success to his wide receiving mentor – his mother, Mary Rosenthal. Find out the story of how a mother and son bonded over football, and specifically, the art of playing wide receiver.”

So tune into ESPN at 11am ET to catch the Mike Williams bit and bask in the glory of your favorite football team finally getting some love.
