We’re currently following the developments from the hearing going on before the 8th US Circuit Court of Appeals in St. Louis today. Right now lawyers from the NFL and NFLPA are making arguments about whether or not the lockout should be lifted. Things are still going as of noon, with little to report aside from some fairly bombastic comments from both sides’ attorneys.
The NFL for instance has told the judges that the lockout could now last a year, quite a far cry from the public statements being made by the owners about coming to a quick resolution. On the other side the players’ counsels are finding they actually have to answer difficult questions this time around unlike they did in front of Judge Nelson in Minneapolis.
We’ll keep you posted throughout the rest of the day and summarize (what will in all likelihood end as) a frustrating day this evening. In the meantime, follows us on twitter @ThePewterPlank and follow Andrew Brandt, who has been by far the best reporter covering the lockout @ADBrandt.
