Last Saturday, the Buccaneers hosted the Miami Dolphins in their 3rd preseason game. For the Buccaneers, it was another game that looked a lot like their first two. Freeman struggled with accuracy, Talib absence was depressing, and the middle linebacker position was boring. However, this game also had a couple of things happen that we haven’t seen in the rest of preseason. Kellen Winslow, Arrelious Benn, Luke Stocker, and Brian Price all were able to participate in their first preseason action against the Dolphins. Benn had some trouble getting in sync with Freeman at first, but he eventually reminded us that he’s the best #2 receiver on this roster. We got to see Geno Hayes really make an impact in a game, and DaQuan Bowers got his first sack. The most special thing we saw was the defense hold Reggie Bush to -1 yard on 5 carries in the first half. One of the biggest factors in shutting down the running game was Michael Bennett.
