Here is the updated injury report for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers versus the Indianapolis Colts for 10-3-11.
QB Peyton Manning is out and like I said in a previous column, this is the type of injury that can cause him to miss the entire season. I will go on to say that if his neck does not fuse properly, he may have to call it a career.
S Antoine Bethea is questionable with a heel injury, and he did not practice this week. He will likely not play, which is a large blow to the Coltsdefense.
QB Kerry Collins (concussion), G Ryan Diem (ankle), DT Fili Moala (ankle), Joe Reitz (ankle), and LB Ernie Sims (knee) are all questionable and did not practice this week. Most will be game time decisions, but you can pretty much count Collins out with Curtis Painter to start
TE Brody Eldridge (Knee), DE Dwight Freeney (ankle) are also both questionable, but practiced and will be playing.
WR Sammie Stroughter (foot) and T James Lee (knee) are both out again.
Quincy Black (ankle) is probable and will likely be active, but Dakota Watson still may start,
TE Kellen Winslow (knee) was limited in practice, but he is Winslow and he will play as always. I found humor in sites that were making a big deal out of him being off a couple of days this week, rather than his usual one. What no one mentioned is that the game was on Monday, not Sunday, so there is an extra day of practice.
TE Zach Pianalto (calf), QB Josh Johnson (ankle) are both probable and should not have any restrictions.
