Exciting New Changes Coming

To Our Readers,

There’s been a lot of things that have transpired over the last couple of months that have changed the direction of this site. I’ll start with an apology. I have slipped in my duties as the editor of this site. I will always be gracious to the good men that run FanSided, the Best brothers, Patrick Allen and my own personal FanSided mentor, Brian Miller. Over two years ago I answered a request for writers and began to contribute on a weekly basis on Brian’s site. Today I run Pewter Plank and cover college sports for the Miami Herald. I owe a great deal of that to their patience and support. At every turn, in every situation all four of them have been more than willing to provide whatever assistance was possible, from kind words to tech support. A writer couldn’t ask for better.

Now it’s my turn to start pulling my weight again, living up to my end of the bargain. I owe it to them to be better for this site than I have been the past couple months, I owe it to my dedicated staff and I owe it to you, the readers. Before starting with the Herald I was averaging around 65 posts per month, you can expect that level of writing again from here on out.

We also have some exciting new staff news as well. Unfortunately, Joel Rodriguez has left us to pursue other opportunities. I’ll always appreciate the work Joel did and the dedication he had here. We wish him the best of luck in the future with his writing career. We will be hiring several new contributors over the coming weeks. But in the meantime Josh, Dr. McKenna and I will continue to hold things down as always.

We’ve also just begun to take our weekly Pewter Plank Radio show and turn it into a podcast. I know it’s cumbersome to keep the window open for 45 minutes to an hour to hear the show, but now you can download us through iTunes and take Josh and I to work with you, or the gym or anywhere you iPod goes. We make great travel companions, fit easily into most pockets and storage containers and are always ready to break down the Buccaneers at a seconds notice. So look out for our podcast, some new writers and a lot more content in the coming months.

The Bucs may be down right now, but we’re not.

Thank you, and keep reading!
