So, now that the Buccaneers have spent around $140 million in free agency, things will likely quiet down. General Manager Mark Dominik addressed free agency in the press conference that was held earlier today saying, ‘as an organization, our eye is towards the NFL Draft now.’ This probably means that the Bucs are done, or at least done spending big money, in free agency.
However, there have been multiple reports saying that the Buccaneers are in contract negotiations with linebacker Curtis Lofton.
According to Stephen Holder of the Tampa Bay Times, that’s not true as of right now. The Buccaneers ate up about $30 million of their cap space with the three acquisitions, so signing Lofton could be a stretch.
