The Cleveland Browns moved up one spot, from 4th overall to 3rd, likely to ensure they could select Alabama RB Trent Richardson. The move will cost the Browns a 4, 5 and 7, but effectively locks the Bucs out of the Richardson sweepstakes by insuring they can’t come up to three and take the former Crimson Tide runner.
The draft now starts at four, and Tampa’s nightmare scenario could be coming true, if the Vikings want to go corner, both of the Bucs favored prospects will be off the board and Tampa will have to go to the next tier of the their draft evaluations.
As we said last night, if that happens the Bucs have plenty of options.
