Final Injury Report: Bucs vs. Saints

Only two names pop up in this week’s injury report and both will have to take serious turns for the worse over the course of the nest two days to keep them out of Sunday’s massive matchup with the Saints. The good news is that only two names show up, but the bad news is their two of the biggest and highest profile names on the Bucs roster.

Guard Carl Nicks shows up on the report again this week, still bothered by that foot injury. He was limited in practice but expect him to play on Sunday as he did last week with the same exact injury. Vincent Jackson is a new addition to this weeks injury report as he’s suffering from a mild calf strain. It shouldn’t keep him out of Sunday’s contest, but it could hamper his production. The Saints have a suspect passing secondary so expect Jackson to be used as he normally is as a deep threat. However with the calf injury limiting him in practice this week, don’t expect him to overdo his work load. He’ll get a fair amount of targets, coverage permitting, but with the success of Mike Williams and Tiquan Underwood, Jackson can pass the work off to other receivers if the calf begins to nag him.
