The Buccaneers are locked into a ferocious fight with the Oakland Raiders at the moment, currently trailing 10-7 at halftime after Connor Barth missed a 52-yard field goal. But the Bucs are in it thanks to a huge play by Vincent Jackson who made yet another spectacular catch.
After going down 3-0, the Bucs went the length of the field thanks to not one but two huge catches by Jackson, who racked up nearly 90 yards on two plays.
The first saw Jackson streak the field and set up his second big catch with a grab in front of a slew of Raiders defenders he forced to chase him a few more yards.
His next catch came on a beautifully thrown pass to the back of the endzone that Jackson reeled in with both feet inbounds. The score put the Bucs up 7-3, and although they’d allow Oakland to take the lead back, Jackson’s catch is the reason Tampa’s in the game at the moment.
It’s also thanks to Jackson that the Bucs are out gaining the Raiders through the air, and should he continue to be a nuisance, Doug Martin and the running game might be able to open up and get the Bucs the lead back.
