The injury riddled season for the Buccaneers continues as news as come down that Jeremy Trueblood and Cody Grimm will join a slew of other on injured reserve as their seasons have come to a premature end.
Trueblood has been battling for his job on the offensive line, as it was made abundantly clear from day one of the Schiano era that Trueblood was not all entirely welcome. After having linemate Davin Joseph lobby hard for him a season prior, Trueblood was replaced by Demar Dotson and has played sparingly since then.
Grimm has been nothing but a backup and special teamer since the Bucs drafted Mark Barron and switched Ronde Barber to free safety. Grimm did actually see action this season though, unlike Trueblood, as Grimm’s injury came in the Bucs win against the Raiders four weeks ago in Oakland.
Trueblood’s injury was not announced by the Bucs.
The duo join a list of Bucs on IR, as Tampa has been forced to place ten players on injured reserve throughout the season. The names range from so-so players like Anthony Gaitor (who has since been re-instated) to massive pieces of this team such as the offensive line duo of Carl Nicks and Davin Joseph.
Arrelious Benn was recently placed on IR and defensive end Adrian Clayborn was placed on the list after he was injured in the Bucs week 3 loss in Dallas.
