- The name Tony Oden probably doesn’t ring a bell. Oden is the new DB coach and Stephen Holder explains why he’ll have a major impact on the 2013 Buccaneers defense. Not only does Oden have to assimilate Revis and Goldson, he has to work with rookie Johnthan Banks, and get Wright and Barron on a better track then they were on a year ago. A guy well worth learning about.
- ESPN released it’s Future Power Rankings and the Bucs come it at a disappointing number 18. The article tries to predict how teams will look in 2016. The article is only available to Insiders, but the free portion is intriguing enough. For more on where the Buccaneers ranked, check out Bucs Nation’s breakdown.
- In today’s, “Buccaneers do good things off the field too” story, we find Vincent Jackson hosting a camp for the children of military families. Another nice uplifting story of players doing good things during the offseason rather than the seemingly endless number of articles we have to read about guys and their run-ins with the law.
- And finally, on the day the U.S. governments made significant progress on the issues surrounding gay marriage, former Buccaneer Chidi Ahanotu let the bone inside his head talk and made some rather curious remarks. A combination of discrimination, bounties, and general stupidity. Guess Chidi is still upset after Cinderella 13 seed Brad Johnson oust him in the first round of the #BucsBracket.
That’s it for today’s edition. Tune in tomorrow for more Bucs’ news and rumors.
