Camp is well underway, so here’s what we’re reading after a busy Friday.
- First up is an update from camp from our friend Old School over at What the Buc?, who was disappointed in the energy level and execution of basics at camp today. On his podcast tonight, he did say that Leonard Johnson impressed him, which is a common sentiment thus far. Have faith in this young man, since he’s going to have a solid year for the Buccaneers in 2013.
- Over at ESPN.com, Pat Yasinskas has this writeup on Mike Williams’ new contract with the Buccaneers. He gives the year-by-year details, so check it out. It’s a hefty price tag for a number two receiver, so Williams has to pan out over the course of this contract, or the Buccaneers are in trouble.
- Josh Freeman told the Tampa Tribune that he wants to be really good this season, and beyond. And he can be. But this is yet another look into the mindset of the Buccaneers’ QB, who has the right mentality about his career. He’s not cocky, but he knows what he’s capable of doing.
- And finally, a couple more article about Darrelle Revis. The first is about his new nickname from camp, and the second is about Johnthan Banks’ desire to learn from the All-Pro.
Stay tuned this weekend for more Buccaneers’ coverage, as camp rolls on and the season grows closer!
