Bad news, folks. If you were hoping to watch the Tampa Bay Buccaneers live on TV in their first preseason game of the season, you’ll have to wait for the blackout timeframe to expire, because the team has not sold sufficient tickets to meet the requirements set forth by the NFL.

As 620 WDAE’s Tom Krasniqi stated above, you can still follow along with the voice of the Buccaneers via the radio, and the game will be played on tape delay both locally and on NFL Network.
Per @RCummingsTBO, the Bucs preseason opener Thursday will be blacked out in Tampa. You can watch it Friday at 7:30 pm on WFLA Channel 8

So if you can’t tune in for the initial radio broadcast, or want to see the game on replay to watch your favorite players battle to earn a roster spot, you’ll have the chance to do so, as well.
Because The Pewter Plank won’t have anyone on hand at Raymond James with a laptop, we’ll do our best to keep you up-to-date with what the Buccaneers do on Thursday evening, including tweets and posts to the website. So stay tuned as we work through the stupidest rules in all of sports: The NFL Blackout policies.
