Welcome back to another edition of Pewter and Read as we prepare for the Buccaneers’ second preseason game tomorrow evening.
- Gil Arcia of Pewter Report has a preview of the aforementioned preseason game, where he gives some things he’s looking to see, or not see, in tomorrow night’s game. I particularly agree that I hope to see better execution on special teams, and in the trenches.
- And also from Pewter Report, Mark Cook has this article with his overall impressions from training camp. There are some encouraging points and some discouraging points, but overall there have been some very interesting story lines in camp so far.
- Adam Schefter of ESPN has a brief report online speculating that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers may be interested in the services of former Miami Dolphins kicker Dan Carpenter. I would be okay with that, as long as it was at the expense of Lawrence Tynes, as I feel like Derek Dimke has earned his chance at a roster spot.
- Want more nonsense surrounding quarterbacks and knees and practice? Check out this CBS Sports article with more on Greg Schiano’s thoughts on the drama surrounding Tom Brady’s injury scare, and then check out this article from the Tampa Tribune about the Buccaneers’ insistence upon QBs wearing knee braces.
That’s it for today. Join us again tomorrow night as we bring you updates and thoughts from the Buccaneers’ second preseason game.
