Tampa Bay Buccaneers Power Rankings: Ranking The Best Players on the Bucs' Roster

Two games, two losses. But the rankings show more individual improvement than radical decline. Next week will show a lot in a game where most players on the list get at least a half of play. Tom Crabtree and Jamon Meredith fall out, Gabe Carimi and Brian Leonard now ranked.

Previous Rankings: Pre | P1

Rank Player Synopsis Change
Gerald McCoy New top spot. As he goes, the Bucs D-Line will go. ↑1
Vincent Jackson Time to get in rhythm with #5. ↓1
Darrelle Revis Playing this week? I’ll believe it when I see it.
Levonte David Keeps moving up because he keeps showing up. Could jump Revis next. ↑2
Doug Martin Hopfully that head is fine. Seems like it will be. ↓1
Josh Freeman Let’s get going buddy. ↓1
Dashon Goldson Supposed to be new vocal leader of the defense, let’s start seeing it.
Donald Penn Not to blame for the disaster that was the O-Line vs. Patriots.
Carl Nicks Bad game by O-Line means is a good sign for lineman who didn’t play.
Davin Joseph See Nicks. One day I won’t have to type this.
Mark Barron Ready to see him make the leap to elite. ↑1
Adrian Clayborn Can’t wait to see he and McCoy on the field together again. ↓1
Mike Williams Time to get in rhythm with #5.
Mason Foster Not much to say.
Jeremy Zuttah In the middle of the nightmare, but blame lies more on others.
Akeem Spence I asked him to stand out, he did it in Game 2. Job looks to be his, and the Bucs may benefit cause of it. ↑4
Leonard Johnson We’ll get a much better idea of how he can handle his role when Revis returns. ↓1
Da’Quan Bowers Coaches continue to ride him. But they do because they believe.
Demar Dotson Not a good showing, need better. ↓2
Gary Gibson Spence’s emergence may cause him to only get sparing work, but still a nice backup. ↓1
Dekoda Watson Still in a battle, but it’s looking like it’s going to be job at starting weak side linebacker.
Jonathan Casillas Maybe a slot as a third down backer to cover TE’s?
Brian Leonard Out this week, but should have the role as the short yardage guy. ↑3
Danny Gorrer Banks was hot name coming in, Gorrer has outplayed him on the field… but not by much.
Gabe Carimi Watch out Demar, here comes the Chicago castaway. ↑1

Honorable mentions (in no order) :  Johnthan Banks, Jamon Meredith, Danny Noble
