Are you an aspiring sports writer looking to build a portfolio? Do you have good writing skills, but want a first opportunity to share your voice with the world? Do you ever watch a Buccaneers game, and have thoughts you want to share with fellow fans about what you saw?

Then join The Pewter Plank’s team and become a staff writer. As a staff writer, we’ll only ask for at least one article per week of your time, and you’re free to write about the Buccaneers how you see fit. Do you not like how the quarterback played on Sunday? Write about it! Did you think the defense was amazing? Write about it!

We’re also looking specifically for writers to cover gamedays, with previews, recaps, and rapid reactions to the Buccaneers’ games all year-long.

So do you think you have what it takes to write for The Pewter Plank? Whether you’re a fan of the Bucs or not, this could be the writing opportunity for you. If you have experience, or if you feel like you have writing skills that need to be put to the test, be sure to get in touch.

E-mail editor Leo Howell at [email protected] with information about your experience and interest, and we’ll get you started in the process. Be sure to include any prior writing samples you may have, if you have writing experience.

Would love to Leo, but my opinions usually are of the supportive kind ,, sometimes Ill think otherwise , but know ..a lot of the players could possibly see the comments through a retweet, or FB post. I feel my posts should be supportive as a fan ,, however I do privately vent my frustrations elsewhere ,,,haha. How fun it would be for a chance to have a column, but ill leave it to the ppl with more knowledge & a bit more nerve ,, cool idea though,, best wishes with your search – Ty for many anticipated threads !
