Tampa Bay Buccaneers Power Rankings: Ranking The Best Players on the Bucs' Roster - Preseason Week 3

We saw quite a bit of movement, as was to be expected with the starters getting extended time. Biggest gainer was Brian Leonard. Lots of people shifted around, but not any huge swings. Those will certainly come as the we move into the regular season.

Previous Rankings: Pre | P1 | P2

Rank Player Synopsis Change
Gerald McCoy Each week he proves it, each week he’s separated himself just a little bit.
Vincent Jackson McCoy is making the gap larger, but it’s still nothing a nice 2 TD game can’t fix.
Darrelle Revis Can’t move a man who’s yet to play.
Lavonte David Splash play after splash play, he’s been a godsend to the defense.
Dashon Goldson Showed very well for first time in pewter and red. Expect a lot of those types of games. ↑2
Doug Martin Hope that head is 100% by September 8th. ↓1
Josh Freeman Just doesn’t look comfortable yet. ↓1
Donald Penn Bad game, but his honesty earned him the hold at 8th place.
Mark Barron Both safties had nice games. Barron was even better than Goldson too. ↑2
Davin Joseph Starting to ease back in. He’ll be the force he used to be very soon.
Carl Nicks Hope he recovers soon. ↓2
Mason Foster The higher Mason moves up this list, the better the Buccaneers will be. ↑2
Adrian Clayborn Still need more. Maybe he’s saving it for the real games. ↓1
Mike Williams No more drops. Please. ↓1
Akeem Spence Seems to me that with McCoynext to him he’s primed to have a solid rookie campaign. ↑1
Jeremy Zuttah Had a solid game, but possible he’ll be moved around with the Nicks injury. ↓1
Leonard Johnson Haven’t been impressed, but haven’t been disappointed. The test comes when Revis comes back.
Da’Quan Bowers Much better game, but goofy coaching decisions may have held him back.
Demar Dotson Continuing to prove his reliability. It’s great to see.
Brian Leonard Keeps putting up results. Maybe a nice handcuff in fantasy leagues? ↑3
Gary Gibson Spence won’t be perfect this year, Gibson needs to be there to clean up his messes. ↓1
Dekoda Watson I’m still not convinced he’s much better than Casillas. Jury is still out. ↓1
Jonathan Casillas Not making the argument vs. Watson any easier. Hopefully one emerges. ↓1
William Ghoston Depth, depth, depth. He may just represent it along the D-Line. ↑2
Danny Noble The new Luke Stocker? The tools are there, time to prove it consistently. ↑1
