Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New York Jets Inactives

Now we know Week 1 is officially here. We have an inactives list. Here it is for Buccaneers vs. Jets.

Tampa Bay
Tom Crabtree TE
William Gholston DE
Carl Nicks OG
Dan Orlovsky QB
Erik Lorig FB
Chris Jones DT
Rashaan Melvin CB
New York Jets
Oday Aboushi OT
William Campbell G
Quinton Coples LB
Ben Ijalana OT
Danny Lansanah LB
Mark Sanchez QB
Scott Solomon LB

Not any real surprises here as there usually aren’t in Week 1. The Buccaneers have an astoundingly low numbers of players that are injured thus far. Crabtree’s injury late in preseason made it pretty clear he was going to be out a little while. Gholston is out today (coaches decision), but he’ll be ready to step in soon if one of the non-McCoy DE’s doesn’t step up. Of course Carl Nicks with the MRSA infection is still out, which will cause a bit of a line shift.

The big non-appearance here for the Jets is Santonio Holmes. He will play in Week 1 and will likely draw the wrath of Revis quite often. Sanchez is on the list so there’s no chance of any pre game Rex Ryan super surprises.

One other note we’d like to point out, the starting lineups were also released, and Gabe Carimi will get the start. Many believed Demar Dotson would be the guy, but the newly acquired Carimi will get the nod against the Jets. Also, Daniel Te’o-Nesheim and Leonard Johnson were listed among the starters. The Carimi one will likely be much more impactful as Dotson will see far less playing time than those being Te’o and Johnson.
