Vincent Jackson is "Day to Day," Buccaneers' Receiver Avoids Serious Rib Injury

Rib injuries are never a good thing, and as Buccaneers’ fans remember in the case of Chris Simms, hits to the midsection can have devastating results.

So when Vincent Jackson was seen on the sideline on Sunday having his ribs checked, there was reason for concern.

But ESPN’s NFL Insider Adam Schefter has some good news for Bucs’ fans which he posted to Twitter on Monday afternoon.

This is fantastic news, as Jackson is a vital part of the Buccaneers’ offense. As I mentioned earlier today, losing Vincent for any prolonged period of time would be a huge hit for the Tampa Bay passing attack, especially with a star corner like Patrick Peterson on the schedule next week when the Arizona Cardinals come into town.

We’re still awaiting updates about Mike Williams, Gerald McCoy and Luke Stocker’s injury situations, and we’ll pass along that information as soon as we have it.
