Mike Glennon is making his first NFL start on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, and now we know that even if he has one of his best weapons, he won’t be at full strength.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network and NFL.com reported this morning on NFL Gameday and on Twitter that Vincent Jackson has multiple rib injuries that will take over a month to heal.

This is really tough news for the Bucs’ offense, which just isn’t the same with Vincent Jackson on the field and playing at his best. His struggles so far in 2013 have been a part of the lack of offense for the Bucs, and the offense just doesn’t match up against opposing defenses the same way without him at the top of the wide receiver depth chart.

At this point, we will await official word as to whether or not Vincent Jackson will play. But considering that this coaching staff stands to lose a lot by falling to 0-4, I am sure they’re going to push for Vincent to play. If he does play, we can only hope he doesn’t further injure his ribs, or suffer any other injuries to his weakened midsection, and can rest up over the bye week.
