It’s Sunday in Tampa again, and the weather is absolutely perfect for Buccaneer football. I say Buccaneer football because it’s going to be a little on the hot side by the time kick off rolls around, just the way the Buccaneers like it.
The temperatures are expected to stay in the high 80′s from kick off to final whistle with the humidity at a modest 44% and winds gusting at less than 10 mph. Rain is not expected on Sunday in Tampa Bay.
For a game against a team from a northern state like Pennsylvania, the hotter the better for the Buccaneers. The Bucs will wear their white jerseys as they always do until November to force their opponents to wear darker colors. Let’s hope those few extra rays the Eagles green unis will soak in make a difference, especially with their up-tempo offense.
With the Eagles and Buccaneers both expected to rely heavily on the run game, weather would not have been likely to impact this game. If anything, the nice weather will benefit the Buccaneers more because the last thing Tampa Bay needs in another thing on the mind of Mike Glennon in his second start. He should have clear skies and dry conditions to bounce back from his disappointing second half against the Cardinals.
