NFC South Week 6 Standings: Saints lose unbeaten start

The New Orleans Saints are no longer perfect as they were beaten on a last second touchdown against the New England Patriots, 30-27.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers remain winless at 0-5 after losing 31-20 at Raymond James Stadium to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Carolina Panthers went to Minneapolis and defeated the Minnesota Vikings 35-10 to move to 2-3 on the season. The Atlanta Falcons stay 1-4 as they were on their bye.

NFC South Standings after Week 6:

1. New Orleans Saints – 5-1
2. Carolina Panthers – 2-3
3. Atlanta Falcons – 1-4
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 0-5

In Week 7, there will be an NFC South matchup as the Buccaneers travel to Atlanta to tackle the Falcons while the Panthers host the St. Louis Rams. The Saints have their bye.

Week 7 Schedule (all times Eastern):

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Atlanta Falcons, 1:00 p.m., Sunday, October 20th
St. Louis Rams @ Carolina Panthers, 1:00 p.m., Sunday, October 20th

The Bucs and Falcons is a matchup of teams that were expected to do much better than they have. Nobody would have expected the two teams to have one win between them and both teams playoff hopes are all but over already.

The Panthers host the Rams in a game that already has wild card implications. Neither team will win their division, but both will be in hot pursuit of a wild card berth so a win for either team will go a long way to determining if they can make the playoffs.
