The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will head to the Georgia Dome to play the Atlanta Falcons in a NFC South matchup. Ticket prices for this game are very affordable. In fact, it’s the 2nd cheapest of the weekend. With an average price of under $50 bucks, only the Chargers @ Jaguars game is less. Currently, tickets for the game are averaging $73, over 40% below that average prices for both Falcons tickets at home and Buccaneers tickets on the road. Prices are also down 28% this week, and with the two teams combining for just one win so far this season I’d expect that price to continue to drop as kickoff draws closer. However, with that low price there are plenty of great deals available with prices for the game starting at $13.
Tampa may have an edge in the game since the Falcons lost wide receiver Julio Jones for the season with a foot injury. Jones had averaged 116.0 receiving yards per game through the first five games of the season. Jones led the team in receptions on the team with 44, eight more than tight end Tony Gonzalez. Quarterback Matt Ryan will now have to look to Roddy White and Gonzalez for his pass attempts. White has not been healthy so far this season, though, with only 14 receptions. White will also come across another problem in seeing a lot of Buccaneers cornerback Darrelle Revis covering him.
The Buccaneers will be entering game three of the Mike Glennon era at quarterback. Glennon has a higher completion percentage, but a lower yards per attempt than the quarterback he replaced, Josh Freeman. Vincent Jackson has been a help to Glennon, with a nine catch, 114 and two touchdown game last week against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Falcons defense has allowed 300 yards through the air in three separate games this season, which could be a matchup to watch.
