Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Atlanta Falcons Weather Report

Weather will not play a factor is this weekend’s contest between the Buccaneers and Falcons because it will be played indoors.

But in a game against the suddenly rather slow-moving Falcons offense, turf means faster play on defense. The Bucs D has been flying around all season proving to give even some of the better offenses in the league (New Orleans, New England, Philadelphia) quite a handful. And with a game being played inside on artificial grass, the Bucs D should be as fast as ever.

The Buccaneers should also have a good chance to get Doug Martin going on the turf as well. Last season in Martin’s only appearance in the Georgia Dome, he ran for 142 yards. Also, one of Martin’s best games as a Buc came on a Thursday night last year inside the Metrodome in Minnesota. Hopefully he can continue his dome success again today.

Finally, because a weather report about a dome can be bland, I want to give some advice to any Buc fan headed to the dome to cheer on our beloved Pewter Pirates. Don’t take crap from any Falcons fan. Even though our boys have yet to record a tally in the win column, the Falcons have had arguably a more pathetic season than the Buccaneers to this point. Stick up for your team, but don’t punch anybody. It’s just not worth it.
