Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Carolina Panthers Weather Report

To borrow a line from one of my favorite musical artists of all time, the weather is here, I wish you were beautiful.

While Jimmy Buffet probably not talking about the Buccaneers/Panthers Thursday Night Football game when he wrote the song, it fits so perfectly with the situation. The weather is likely to be absolutely perfect for football in late October. Partly cloudy, temperatures in the high 60’s to low 70’s, and not a drop of precipitation in the area.

Now if only the Buccaneers could play like the team we all envisioned they’d be come this Week 8 division matchup. Unfortunately, beautiful is one of the last words anyone would use to describe the brand of football (or the off field circus) that the Bucs are displaying.

Tonight was supposed to be a big night. The first home primetime game in a few years, a matchup of two division rivals on the rise, and a chance for the Buccaneers to grab yet another win as they head toward a playoff berth were supposed to be the headlines for the Bucs on this night.

Well, we aren’t getting quite the game we were expecting, but at least the weather is here. And quite frankly, it’s nice enough to cheer up even the most disappointed Bucs fans.
