The Tampa Bay Buccaneers already knew they’d be without Dashon Goldson and Mason Foster for today’s game against the Detroit Lions. So with that bad news out of the way, there aren’t many surprises on the inactives list.
#Bucs inactives: FS Dashon Goldson, FB Lonnie Pryor, LB Mason Foster, LG Carl Nicks, DT Gary Gibson, DE Steven Means & G Patrick Omameh

And as Scott Smith points out, there are only six “inactives” because Goldson is suspended, not inactive.
Only six Buc IAs because Dashon Goldson doesn’t count against the 53-man roster while suspended. He is, in effect, the 7th inactive.

It should come as no surprise that Lonnie Pryor is inactive, as he just joined the team, and they certainly don’t need three fullbacks active on gameday. None of the other inactives are cause for concern, except it’s interesting to note that Gary Gibson gets the day off at defensive tackle. Derek Lanfri has been inactive a few times this year, as well, so it will be interesting to see how the rotation works at tackle today against Detroit.
For the Lions, there is good news on the injury front.
Inactive for #Lions: Spurlock, Moore, Green, Leshoure, Harris, Hilliard and Lane.

Running back Joique Bell is active and will play, along with multiple other key offensive players who appeared on the injury report this week. Nate Burleson and Calvin Johnson are both good to go for Detroit, to go with Bush and Bell and tight end Brandon Pettigrew for a full arsenal for Matthew Stafford.
