The Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have released their injury status reports ahead of Sunday’s game, and for both teams there are star players in jeopardy of missing the contest.

Here are the injured Buccaneers, courtesy of the Bucs’ website:

NAME POS INJURY GAME STATUS
Foster, Mason LB Concussion Probable
Hayward, Adam LB Foot Probable
Joseph, Davin G Knee Probable
Meredith, Jamon T Ankle Probable
Nicks, Carl G Foot Out
Revis, Darrelle CB Groin Questionable
Spence, Akeem DT Wrist Probable

The Buccaneers will be without Carl Nicks once again, as the guard has yet to practice since undergoing surgery on his foot to remove a MRSA infection. He would have been helpful against a talented front for for Carolina, but he was never likely to be ready for this game.

Darrelle Revis is listed as questionable, and only practiced in part on Friday after missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday. Being without Revis changes the Tampa Bay defense in a major way, and his game-time decision this weekend will impact the chance the Buccaneers have to win.

Here are the injured Panthers, courtesy of their website:

NAME POS INJURY GAME STATUS
Blackburn, Chase LB Foot Questionable
Gross, Jordan T Non-Injury Probable
Hartsock, Ben TE Knee Doubtful
Johnson, Charles DE Knee Out
Scott, Chris G Knee Out
Smith, Steve WR Knee Probable
Stewart, Jonathan RB Ankle Questionable
Tolbert, Mike FB Knee Questionable
Williams, DeAngelo RB Quad Questionable

While the Buccaneers have two All Pros on the injury report, the Panthers have a good amount of key contributors in doubt for Sunday’s game.

All of the Carolina running backs remain in question for the game, which impacts the Panthers’ ability to run against the tough Tampa Bay run defense.

Charles Johnson’s absence is also bound to make an impact, as he’s one of the key pass rushers who would have been responsible for getting after Mike Glennon.
