Gambling On The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers: Against the Spread and Over/Under

Alright people, the Buccaneers have won three straight. Those in the media and many fans are starting to buy in on the Glennon experience. This is just what we want, we being gamblers of course. The Buccaneers come in as 7 point underdogs down from almost 10 at the beginning of the week, and the game has a total of 41.5. Fellas, we know better, so let’s make some money.

The Bucs have put together three and a half straight games where they have looked like a bona fide NFL team. However, the past three have been against teams that haven’t exactly been world beaters. The Dolphins were amidst the disaster that was/is the Richie Incognito Jonathan Martin situation, the Falcons are a complete mess, and the Lions shot themselves in the foot over and over again.

Just five weeks ago the Buccaneers were mauled by the Panthers, and Carolina is better today than they were. Also, that game was at Raymond James. Folks, the 7 point spread is almost laughable. Hammer the home favorite. I would like this game for Carolina even if the line had stayed at 9.5. Anything short of 10 is a good bet, at 7, they might as well just be giving away money.

As for the total, that’s a little tougher. As has been the norm, the total is low in a Buccaneer game. They’ve been playing over for a majority of the latter half of the season. But in this case, I like the under. Mike Glennon has been good, but not great. Against this defense, he’ll come back to reality and remind us all why the top 5 pick the Bucs are headed for should be used on a quarterback.

The Buccaneers simply aren’t good enough at this moment to compete with a team as hot as Carolina. This is the best spot we’ve had all year, let’s make it count.
