The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a large number of players on injured reserve, but are otherwise a relatively healthy team when it comes to their active roster. That trend continued at the start of Week 14 practices, with two notable exceptions.
Only three players sat out from practice on Wednesday, and one of them was expected to be sidelined.
Official injury report #Bucs: Vincent Jackson (hamstring), Davin Joseph (knee), Carl Nicks (foot) did not participate.

Carl Nicks’ absence should come as no surprise, as he’s likely not going to play again this season. The lack of practice from Davin Joseph and Vincent Jackson, however, is a bit more concerning.
But apparently, there’s no reason to worry.
#Bucs say WR Vincent Jackson (hamstring) did not practice today, Davin Joseph (knee) also was out. Schiano planned to give them off

Joseph and Jackson are both veteran players who have been hurt in some way or another for most of the season, and have battled through. Giving them a day off is completely logical, but if either has any setbacks or has a more serious injury than the Buccaneers are letting on, it could be damaging to the team’s hopes against a surprisingly competitive Buffalo team.
Notably absent from the injury report was Darrelle Revis, who practiced despite leaving Sunday’s game with a chest/shoulder injury. He didn’t seem to be 100% on Sunday, so it will be interesting to see if he’s back to his usual form against the Bills.
