The Carolina Panthers have finally caught the New Orleans Saints.
After the Panthers walloped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27-6, and the Saints were trounced 34-7 by the Seattle Seahawks, the Panthers and Saints now sit tied atop the NFC South standings.
The Atlanta Falcons misery ended as they picked up a 34-31 overtime win against the Buffalo Bills in Toronto.

2.Carolina Panthers – 9-3
3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 3-9
4. Atlanta Falcons – 3-9
Week 14 can only be described as huge for the NFC South as the Panthers and Saints square off for the first time on Sunday Night Football.
The Bucs host the Bills, while the Falcons battle the Green Bay Packers.
Week 14 Schedule (all times Eastern):
Buffalo Bills @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 1:00 p.m., Sunday, December 8th
Atlanta Falcons @ Green Bay Packers, 1:00 p.m., Sunday, December 8th
Carolina Panthers @ New Orleans Saints, 8:30 p.m., Sunday December 8th
The magnitude of the Panthers and Saints game cannot be underestimated. It’s a pivotal game in deciding the NFC South title, and with their second matchup only two weeks later; it would be critical to hold the divisional lead going into that game.
Both teams’ playoff spots are just about secure, but who goes in as divisional champ and who goes in as a wildcard team is far from being decided.
The Bucs and Falcons are playing for nothing other than draft positioning. A loss is more beneficial than a win at this point, but neither team will be lying down, no matter how badly they have played so far this season.
