The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are continuing their research to find their future starting quarterback, bringing in Louisville’s star QB Teddy Bridgewater in for a visit on Monday afternoon, according to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport.
Bridgewater, 21, led the Louisville Cardinals to a 12-1 record in his senior season (their lone loss: a three point heartbreaker to UCF), while throwing for 3,970 yards, 31 touchdowns, and just four interceptions. He also completed 71% of his passes, which was the highest percentage of his collegiate career.
The 6’3″, 196 pound quarterback from Miami, FL has had mixed reviews leading up to the draft. Some experts regard him as the best quarterback in this year’s draft class, while others see red flags due to his lackluster interviews with teams and scouts.
Tampa Bay will be getting up close and personal on Monday afternoon in an effort to separate fact from fiction.
