Bucs Select Charles Sims With No. 69 Pick in 2014 NFL Draft

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have thrown everyone a curveball and drafted West Virginia RB Charles Sims with the 69th pick in the NFL Draft.

He’s 23 years old, 6’0″, 214 pounds, and is a perfect third down running back with the ability to catch passes out of the backfield.

In his senior season, Sims rushed for 1,095 yards, 11 TDs (caught three more), and averaged 5.3 yards per carry.

Sims joins Doug Martin, Mike James, Bobby Rainey, and Jeff Demps in a backfield that looks very crowded for Tampa Bay.

The Bucs won’t be picking for a while, as their third round pick was their last of the night, and they do not have a fourth rounder to start day three.

If the OC is looking to flood the field with receivers, this guy could be a huge weapon.
Martin and Sims lined up in back
    Twin towers on each side
    A TE who can catch
Also remember the end of last season?
    Martin out
    James out
    Demps out
    Rainey had no back up.
