The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have selected Kadeem Edwards, G, from Tennessee State in the 5th round of the 2014 NFL Draft at No. 143 overall.
That’s the Bucs 4th offensive selection in four picks, and the first addressing a dire need for interior offensive linemen.
Edwards is 6’4″, 313 pounds, and has great reach which will surely help him succeed at the next level. His strength, undoubtedly, is his run blocking abilities.
In the NFL, Edwards will look to add more consistency to his game. While all of the physical tools are there, he currently lacks the technique to dominate defenders on a consistent basis.
Having said that, he’ll compete for a starting job on the Bucs’ offensive line right away, and fills a position on the roster that was in desperate need of competition.
