Bucs Select Robert Herron With No. 185 Pick in 2014 NFL Draft

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have selected Wyoming WR Robert Herron in the sixth round, with the 185th pick in this year’s NFL Draft.

It is likely their final selection, unless they trade back into the sixth or seventh round.

Herron is the second wide receiver taken, but is remarkably different than first round pick, Mike Evans. He had 4.25 speed at his pro day workout, and is the quick, play-making wide receiver the Buccaneers have been looking for in this draft.

He is 5’9″, 193 pounds, and has the footwork to become a very good route runner at the NFL level.

Herron, even at his green state as a football player, likely becomes Tampa Bay’s instant starter at the slot receiver position.
