A lot of people hold a significant interest in what jersey numbers players wear (including myself) and after the draft, the six players who the Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected have their new numbers.
They are as follows:
Mike Evans – #13
Austin Seferian-Jenkins – #87
Robert Herron – #14
Charles Sims – #34
Kadeem Edwards – #71
Kevin Pamphile – #70
Every player has a different number from college, besides Evans, who keeps 13. Herron and Sims wore single digit numbers in college so they had no choice but to switch numbers. Edwards wore #73 in college but Anthony Collins has that number now. Jace Daniels wears #64 for the Bucs, the number Pamphile wore in college. Instead he will take Donald Penn’s old #70.
Finally, Seferian-Jenkins’ number in college was 88 but that is currently in the possession of Luke Stocker. However, if you plan on buying a Seferian-Jenkins jersey you may want to wait until after the pre-season, because if Stocker is cut (and that seems to be the likely outcome), ASF may move back to his preferred 88.
Undrafted free agent signings will be given their numbers in the near future.
Also, in case you missed it earlier in the year, the Bucs’ major free agent signings took the following numbers:
A full list of each number for every player on the Bucs’ roster can be found here.
