We’ve been waiting for signs of life from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and we’ve finally got them.
After a first quarter that saw the Buccaneers and Bills trade turnovers, the Bucs cleaned up their play in the 2nd quarter and have taken a commanding 24-0 lead in Buffalo.
Doug Martin rushed for a one yard score in the first quarter. In the second, Connor Barth got things started with a 43 yard field goal. Next, Adrian Clayborn sacked EJ Manuel as he lost the ball, and Clinton McDonald scooped it up and ran it 17 yards for the score. Late in the quarter, Mike Evans caught a 26 yard touchdown pass from Josh McCown, and that is where we stand now.
The Buccaneer defense has been suffocating, and Doug Martin has looked like he is in midseason form. The Bucs will start the 3rd quarter with the ball.
