The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are exploring all options when it comes to filling the void at guard this offseason and one of those options in the wide net that has been cast is Richie Incognito.
But while Incognito is just an option at this point, the players inside the Bucs locker room are already trying to peer into the future to see what it would be like to play with him. Mason Foster is on the opposite unit of Incognito, but chimed in on what h thought about adding him to the team.
Foster talked about Incognito on Tuesday at One Buc Place, via JoeBucsFan, and stated that one of the things he sees is a great player.
“Man, playing against him, in preseason and everything, and watching him play, he’s a great player,” Foster said. “You know what I mean; you like his style of play. You like what he brings to the table.”
Ad for the other aspects of Incognito’s persona, Foster isn’t going to touch on that as he says he doesn’t know the man personally.
“But as far as everything else, I haven’t met him before so I couldn’t really tell you. You’d have to talk to Lovie and the front office guys. I just work here.”
The Bucs are acquiring Pro Bowler Logan Mankins from the New England Patriots, which likely makes all talk of adding Incognito irrelevant. But someone will likely add him to a roster this season, and there’s a good chance that there are more than a few open minded players who think the way Foster does.
